ADAS: STANDARDIZATION NOW MANAGED BY THE BNA
The Automobile Standardization Bureau (BNA), UTAC CERAM Group has just taken over the management of the ADAS Standardization Commission. The BNA carries out its mission within the framework of the French standardization system for all road vehicles, cycles and emergency vehicles.
Road assistance systems are a precursor to automated driving. And they are internationally standardized by ISO / TC 204 WG 14 "Intelligent transport systems - Vehicle / roadway warning and control systems", under the chairing of Japan.
As such, the BNA is responsible for defining with French stakeholders the positions on all international standards and draft standards on these subjects. This includes many devices that will shape the automobile of tomorrow like :automated valet parking (AVPS), low-speed automated driving (LSAD), minimal risk maneuver (MRM), motorway chauffeur systems (MCS)…
