Even though the winter season is over, indoor testing continues at Ivalo, the UTAC CERAM Millbrook testing center in Northern Finland. The tire and vehicle development work is, from now and throughout the summer, conducted on its 5 indoor test tracks covering almost 1.6 km, all powered by 100% renewable wind energy.

The proving ground covers more than 1,250 ha and has 100 km of outdoor tracks and more than 1,6 km of indoor tracks. This exclusive device allows it to carry out tests all year round, on ice, snow, dry asphalt and wet asphalt with a temperature range ranging from -13°C to +15°C, or -40°C thanks to cold chambers, in a safe and controlled environment. UTAC CERAM Millbrook now has an extensive and diversified tyre testing capability. The snow and ice tests carried out in the Finnish centre are complemented by the tests carried out in the UTAC CERAM Millbrook laboratories at the Linas-Montlhéry and Mortefontaine sites in France, and from the end of 2021 on the group’s site in Morocco.
