As part of a collaborative research project, UTAC CERAM Millbrook and the MAIF Foundation shared the results of a study at a press conference on 26 May, highlighting the potential for connected vehicles to prevent accidents, including collisions between cars and motorcycles.

An important issue when we know that on the roads, motorcycles are the most vulnerable; in most cases due to speed and lack of visibility. Even if the mortality of motorised two-wheelers in France is down in France in 2019, according to the latest assessment of the ONISR (National Interministerial Observatory of Road Safety), the figures remain high in view of the small percentage they represent among road users: 25% of deaths for only 2% of motorized two-wheeler users. What if one of the solutions to limit these road accidents was connectivity between vehicles?
