Introduced in 2002, the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) is similar to other certifications – such as the European CE certification system – but has its own requirements adapted to the Chinese market. Automotive suppliers and vehicle manufacturers may only sell their products in China, after the CCC certification has been obtained.
