BATTERY TESTING: PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN SERMA GROUP AND UTAC CERAM
UTAC CERAM and the SERMA Group, an independent expert consulting and testing provider for electronic technologies, embedded systems and information systems, have signed a partnership agreement for battery testing for electric and hybrid vehicles. To meet the ever more stringent regulations limiting CO2 emissions, manufacturers will have to reduce the CO2 emissions of their future new cars (private vehicles) by 37.5% between 2021 and 2030. UTAC CERAM have reacted to this and understand the importance of this issue and the need to strongly develop the electrified car market to achieve the targets set.
In order to support our customers in this transformation, UTAC CERAM and SERMA Group have decided to implement a full range of battery tests, including cell, module and pack level testing, from development tests to certification. The test capabilities of both partners will be deployed in parallel and complementary ways: EMC chambers, climatic chambers, crash tests etc ... in order to meet the requirements of regulation R100.02 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) concerning the approval of battery electric vehicles. Within SERMA Group, this partnership is supported by the entities SERMA Energy and SERMA Technologies.
