TRANSFORMATION OF THE MONTLHERY AUTODROME CONTROL TOWER
UTAC CERAM has just launched a major new renovation program to restore the iconic control tower of the Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome. The work is being undertaken in order to renovate the building and make new office and meeting facilities on several of the different floors in the building. The new offices will allow the Groups events team to relocate to this historic and world famous building and visitors to the Montlhéry site will be able to admire the completed renovation when they visit the circuit in spring 2021.
The Linas-Montlhéry circuit was originally built in 1924 by Alexandre Lamblin and was one of the first purpose built motor racing venues to be built in France. The control tower along with the road circuit were added to the circuit after the second world war in order to maintain, complete and develop the sporting activities held at the autodrome.
