UTAC CERAM MAKES YOUNG PEOPLE AWARE OF ECO-DRIVING
As part of the National Week of Local Missions on Eco-Responsibility, UTAC CERAM received six young people at its Mortefontaine test center for a half-day course of eco-driving awareness. Organized by Mr. Didier Jeudon, President of the Local Mission for Youth Employment, this session gave the young participants a chance to discovery first hand, the skills and benefits of eco-driving that will hopefully live with them when they become regular road users in the future. The aim of the session was to provide a fun, but informative demonstration that ecology and safety can indeed go hand in hand. Drivers and experts from UTAC CERAM were able to demonstrate to the participants the test tracks and the testing infrastructure and to give the young people a real life experience of the road in a highly controlled and safe environment. By combining practice and theory, the young people were able to understand that eco-driving is both a matter of the major technological advances in modern cars, but also in the behavior of the drivers themselves..
UTAC CERAM offers numerous courses and training modules on preventive driving, designed to reduce road risk, especially for companies. These courses enable road professionals or simply drivers who use their cars for regular or occasional business trips to adopt the right techniques and attitudes needed to ensure that they drive in a mindful, ecologoically aware, and above all, safe manner.
