NEW NVH BRAKE DYNAMOMETER TEST BENCH NOW AVAILABLE AT UTAC CERAM
UTAC CERAMs Montlhéry test laboratory is now equipped with the latest generation M3900NVH dynamometer test bench designed by LINK. With this new test bench, UTAC CERAM engineers will be able to measure and record the performance, reliability, durability and efficiency of brake linings, brake discs and brake pads. This state of the art test bench also makes it possible to analyze brake noise and vibration issues and also allows the study of brake wear particulate matter emissions emitted during braking.
This innovative new capability allows UTAC CERAM to perform a large range of test cases and test procedures which can be easily automated using the programmable features of the test bench. Brake NVH issues and test procedures can be easily replicated on the test bench and UTAC CERAM hopes that this new equipment will allow our customers to conduct more early stage HiL (Harware-in-Loop) testing on the bench before costly prototype vehicles need to be produced, thus helping our customers cut costs and development lead-times. UTAC CERAM, through its active participation in the decisions of European bodies, has also set itself the objective of helping its customers to develop new lower particulate emitting braking technologies and to ensure that these systems meet the latest Euroepan and global regulations.
