ECOTREE PROJECT: UTAC CERAM'S ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH
Built in the heart of the Linas-Montlhéry autodrome, TEQMO, the autonomous vehicle test center required nearly a year and a half of work which has profoundly modified the fauna and flora on the site. Aware of the impact of this work on the environment, UTAC CERAM has implemented a series of compensatory projects.
4 forests and woods from the Ile de France and Corrèze regions have been selected and will be tended, cut, planted or replanted from 2019 to 2023. At the nd of this period, the reforestation will cover more than 51 hectares and will represent a of over 4 times greater than the volume of trees cut for the construction of the TEQMO circuit. At the same time, the vegetation and animal species (amphibians, reptiles, bats, insects, birds) have been the subject of monitoring by nature experts in order to put in place measures to avoid, reduce, compensate and support them in their new home in and around the TEQMO circuit.
