UTAC CERAM AT THE HEART OF THE NEW SSMVM TESTING REGULATION
UTAC CERAM has just been appointed by the Vehicle and Engine Market Surveillance Service (SSMVM), attached to the General Directorate of Energy and Climate (DGEC) of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, to conduct tests according to the In-Service Monitoring (ISM) protocols defined by European regulations, which will be implemented from 1 September 2020. UTAC CERAM will support the SSMVM by providing all its regulatory and technical expertise in the fields of environment and vehicle and equipment safety.
The Group will carry out in-service monitoring testing in the fields of environmental (pollutant emissions, electromagnetic compatibility, and noise), and safety (active, passive, general safety, bearings and braking, lighting and signaling), as well as the control of all of the documentry evidence needed in this new legislative requirement.
Test information will be collected from the French market initially. They will cover all vehicles types including passenger transport(category M), freight (category N) and trailers (category O), as well as systems, components, separate technical units and parts and equipment intended for such vehicles.
